Reiki originates from Japan. It was developed in the early 20th century by a Japanese Buddhist monk named Mikao Usui. The word "Reiki" is composed of two Japanese characters: "Rei," which means "universal" or "spiritual," and "Ki," which means "life force energy" or "vital energy." Reiki is a holistic healing technique that involves the channeling of this life force energy to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. It has since spread to many parts of the world and gained popularity as a complementary therapy to support overall health and relaxation.
